Murphy was born in January of 1999. He was one of a litter of 11 and was adopted from a local shelter. What is Murphy?? Good question. The best guess is Border Collie/Flat Coated Retriever mix.

Murphy's specialty is helping Joann foster kittens. Yep, this 80 lb. Murph loves baby kitties! He would rather groom a kitten than play with the other dogs. His other specialty is squirrel watching. He assists the squirrels of Beavercreek in maintaining excellent aerobic fitness by providing them with a good chase daily!

Murphy passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen Test in August of 2002. Murphy has retired from helping in classes but has previously earned the desginated title of "Officer Murphy" during many Rover Recess'.
